Ever since the Archimede Pilot series was launched, the requests of its clients worldwide for a version of the timepiece, which would have an original design of the old B-Watches, never seemed to end. The original design did not feature calendar and brand name.

In 2005 the brand was able to discover the Junghans caliber 687, a historic manual winding movement. Archimede decided to purchase some of these movements and offer the Pilot Original with a movement manufactured in Germany, which, however, is no longer produced.

The dimensions of the case are 42mm x 10mm, having a solid case back. The company decided to use a historic classic design of the dials, having the minute and hour hands covered with blue Super Luminova. In addition the seconds hand is luminous as well.

It is interesting to note that the first movement of the brand was developed more than half a century ago, in 1956. The movement of Archimede is its follower and was created throughout the period between 1961 and 1969.

The movement is among the last to be produced by Junghans. It's worth noting that the classical movements are more than 40 years old and they featured an extremely accurate precision of that time. The company's masters disassembled the movements with great care, cleaned them and then regulated in order to get the best possible accuracy.

With all the hype of the current release of the Apple iPhone you would be forgiven for not being familiar with LG's latest offering, the LG KU990 Viewty. As with the iPhone handset the Viewty allows you to navigate its menus and features with the touch of a finger. But LG have added a few features to the Viewty that the iPhone is sorely missing. Could this touch screen technology underdog really be better than the iPhone?

The LG KU990 Viewty is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera including a xenon flash and auto focus which puts Apple iPhone's 2-megapixal offering to shame. The camera can also be switched to capture high speed motion footage and includes a unique feature that allows you to watch the video replay in slow motion. Combine this with the option to automatically upload to YouTube and you can plainly see why the Viewty is genuine competition for the iPhone.

The Viewty allows you to browse the Internet through a fast GPRS or 3G Internet connection with an innovative web browser that allows you to zoom in on areas of web pages and then use your finger to drag the page across the screen. This function is useful as the handset screen is small and trying to read a full webpage without the zoom would be almost impossible. Surprisingly the Viewty is missing a Wi-Fi option, a feature which has become very popular and almost a 'must have' on new mobile phones as Internet browsing becomes more popular.

The onboard 170MB memory is generous but the microSD memory can only be expanded to 2GB which is really poor when you consider that the Viewty is going to be used for capturing high quality photographs and video. In comparison with the iPhone's standard 8GB the Viewty falls short by a long way.

The LG Viewty onscreen buttons and menus are easy to navigate and the photo gallery neatly allows you to drag and drop photos as if you were shuffling through a bunch of photographs laid out on a table. As with the iPhone there are some traditional buttons located under the screen that allow you to quickly answer calls or direct you to the main menu. There is also a selection of buttons on the side of the t mobile handset which allow easy use of the camera options.

At 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 mm the Viewty handset is smaller than the iPhone but slightly thicker. The battery life is good for a regular phone but with the other technologies included it will be necessary to regularly recharge especially if you have set the phone to vibrate each time you select a button on the touch screen.

In conclusion the LG Viewty is not just a clone of the iPhone. Yes the iPhone will be a lot more popular and will sell many more units due to a frantic advertising campaign and brand awareness. Yes the iPhone does look beautiful and operate a lot slicker than the Viewty. Yes the t mobile Viewty is missing Wi-Fi, but there are a few features that will help the Viewty compete with the iPhone. It has a far superior camera which includes video capture, the Viewty is open to networks other than O2 and the handset costs are likely to be significantly less than the Apple iPhone. The Viewty is kind of like the footballer playing for a small team who scores a spectacular goal but is overshadowed in the media by the big team player's strike.

Chevy Hybrid Cars: Maximum Protection On The Road

There are a relatively few basic social factors in American life which seem always to appear in the ultimate background of our marital problems. Some of these are common American practices in mate selection; others are characteristics of the national life as a whole, while still others concern emphases with existing families. All represent life values which are peculiar in varying degrees to the American people.

There has been a curious reluctance in our current thinking to face the fundamental importance of values and value judgments. Hard-boiled scientists in particular shy away from values and value judgments. One of their common cliches has been that science has nothing to do with values and value judgments. But how, one wonders, can anyone study life, individual behavior, social achievement, and the whole gamut of human activity, and avoid these obvious mainsprings of conduct? How else can one understand human behavior except in terms of human values?

It is in regard to these values that we differ from each other, that whole nations differ; it is in what people really accept as the desirable, the fitting, the good, the proper, and their opposites, that we have the keys to the ways in which they live and work and hope and pray. It is in these values in the field of family life that we must look for much of the explanation of America's record in family behavior. Three groups of values are particularly important.

1. Some of our current values and practices make for bad marriages - marriages that never should have been consummated to begin with, and whose outcome seems almost destined to end in failure. We are reminded here of an elderly friend of much wisdom who has occupied himself for many years by forecasting the outcome of marriages of persons whom he knows. His forecasts are based on three criteria: (1) length of time the couple has known each other, (2) his knowledge of their families, and (3) the similarity or dissimilarity of their interests. He insists he seldom, if ever, fails.

Many persons today insist that our record of marital failure is due to unwise marriages, and that divorce, desertion, and separation will not lessen until we learn better how to marry. With this conclusion, we find ourselves in substantial agreement. The simple fact of the matter is that we marry with fewer preparatory rituals and sobering ceremonial features than other and older nations employ to conserve the sanctity of the marital rite.

It is our conviction that certain time-honored procedures in courtship are still essential, for courtship is the experimental prelude to marriage; that the prospective mate must not be viewed solely through the colored lens of romance; that marrying your own kind is still important, since marriage remains life's most intimate and pervasive relationship; and that marriage should occur at an age when there is sufficient experience and maturity to make a reasonably wise choice.

2. Other values which are common to American life do not make for family continuity and stability. We are thinking here principally of our national devotion to individualism and the open-class system. Marriage above all is not a one-way street, leading only to one mate's comfort and satisfaction; and our open-class social system, geared to an individual social aggressiveness, runs counter to the goals of family continuity and responsibility.

We do not mean to say that the values and practices which result in unwise marriages and which weaken successful adjustments in marital relations invariably destine marriages to failure. Rather do we think of them as creating hazards in marriage in the sense in which we have already defined that term.

3. Finally, there are the old-fashioned values of parenthood and family group living. These are positive values which have been underemphasized during the past several generations. There are some indications of a reverse trend in regard to these, but we still have a long way to go to give them an importance such as they had in past periods when family life flourished on a much broader scale than is the case today.

This is a fine start, and some of these activities can be enjoyed together for many years. But physical activities can do no more than to give the initial push. As people grow older their physical energies diminish. They become interested in other things. And in any case, marriages are not mainly recreation. What intellectual or cultural interests do you have, such as music, drama, literature, painting, or history? Other people have less pretentious hobbies, such as woodworking, dog breeding or clay modeling. Every family should have at least one amateur photographer.

It is not necessary that both husband and wife have the same interests. In some ways, their relationships will be more fruitful if one specializes in one thing and the other in another. Then by sharing, they can both have a broader development. It is important that they do have interests. The person who has interests is more interesting as a person. The wife, who spends considerable time in her garden and really tries to do a good job, may prove far more attractive to her husband than if she spent the time in a beauty parlor.

A couple needs only interests to share and interest enough in what the other is doing to make possible the sharing. A young couple will rarely know in advance just what and how their interests may later develop. They should be able to tell, however, the extent to which either or both is alive to any part of life which is beyond themselves.

If you want your marriage to be a rich companionship, real interests are essential.

Marry a person without hair, teeth, fingernails, or a nose, but not one without interests. And be assured on this point before you become engaged. Since the strongest and most enduring interest is a common purpose, consider this question carefully.

An affair takes an enormous emotional, physical and spiritual toll on any committed relationship. The very foundation that a relationship is built upon--trust, commitment and loyalty--are shattered, and the post-affair relationship is sometimes unsalvageable because the sense of betrayal runs so deep.

In most instances, affairs don't happen without warning signs. The person contemplating an affair doesn't wake up one morning and on the spot decide to betray his/her partner. Becoming affair-prone occurs gradually, and often people are unaware that the seeds of infidelity are being planted.

It is impossible to accurately predict if a person will decide to cheat on his/her partner. There are, however, certain conditions that, if set in motion, can lead to you or your partner becoming affair-prone.

Despite our best intentions at the start of the relationship, under certain circumstances (sometimes painful, extenuating ones), almost anyone can be vulnerable to having an affair. Therefore, becoming aware of the conditions that lead to this vulnerability should be a priority for all relationships.

5 conditions that can make you or your partner affair-prone:

A misunderstanding of normal relationship phases. All relationships and marriages go through a series of changes, some painful. For instance, relationships often begin in the honeymoon phase, where excitement, passion and an intense connection with your partner is the norm. Around the two-year mark (this varies from couple to couple), your relationship leaves this blissful phase and enters a stage where conflict and disagreements are more likely. The personality differences between you and your partner become more apparent and you may find that the relationship is starting to feel like a series of painful compromises and negotiations. It is easy to feel disillusioned and affair-prone at this point, especially if you misinterpret these inevitable changes as evidence that you're with the wrong person.

Avoidance of important issues. Failure to address issues that are important to you or your partner can erode intimacy and cause you to feel lonely. It is a painful irony to feel alone while in a relationship that is meant to offer intimacy and connection. Lily from San Diego described the destructive effects of avoiding important relationship issues:

"I told my husband over and over that I felt ignored by him. I wanted to spend more time with him every day, and I needed him to be more affectionate with me. But every time I tried to talk to him about this, he became angry and said we have a good relationship and there is nothing to complain about. Over the course of our three-year marriage I began to develop a close friendship with a male coworker and I started fantasizing about being with him...I felt trapped."

Ignoring each other's needs has a cumulative effect--feelings of neglect, hopelessness and resentment slowly build and drive a wedge between you and your partner. When your needs continually go unmet and a sense of futility sets in, you will be vulnerable to having your emotional and physical needs met outside the relationship.

Becoming passive about passion. The passion between you and your partner will not remain steady throughout the life of the relationship. Very often relationships start in sexual overdrive. Over the years, this degree of passion levels off and you may find that the practicalities and mundane aspects of life have replaced the intense fire that once existed.

If the physical and sensual aspects of your relationship are ignored for extended periods of time, your relationship will suffer. If you believe that your relationship should remain spontaneously passionate, without effort (like when you and your partner were first dating or married), then you erroneously believe that the sexual energy that once existed cannot return. It may feel that the only path back to passion is outside of your relationship. The antidote to this affair-inducing mindset is for you and your partner to actively take steps to increase the passion in your relationship, something all couples must do at some point.

The opposite-sex "friend" phenomenon. When you prefer to get your emotional needs met from a "friend" of the opposite sex, rather than your partner, you have moved into an affair-prone danger zone. There are several reasons why you may take this path: the friend gives you the attention you no longer receive from your partner; this friend supports and affirms you in ways your partner used to but no longer does; you feel recharged by any feelings of physical attraction you may have toward this friend. Friendships should complement your marriage (or romantic relationship), not replace it.

Rule of thumb: If you say things to this friend that you wouldn't say if your partner were in the room, you're headed down the road of becoming affair-prone.

Negative relationship role models. For better or for worse, we've learned how to be in relationships from observing the unions that surrounded us throughout our lives. If you grew up in a family where loyalty and commitment were top priorities, and conflicts were dealt with rather than swept away, you're apt to bring these pro-relationship qualities to your marriage or relationship. If, on the other hand, you observed infidelity, deceit and a lack of commitment, you may struggle with similar patterns, especially when your relationship hits a rough spot. This does not mean that you are destined to repeat the same affair-prone behaviors as your parents or caregivers. Awareness of these early negative relationship patterns and remaining mindful of how they influence your behavior will give you the means to creating a committed relationship where intimacy is a priority.

Couples are often faced with any one of the above five issues at some point in the course of their relationship. This is to be expected. However, when most (or all) of these conditions are in place, you (or your partner) have entered an affair-prone danger zone. Become conscious of these conditions and discuss this with your partner. This type of focused, active awareness will help you and your partner uproot affair-prone tendencies and replace them with the seeds of commitment and loyalty.

Suzuki has a solid network of approximately 40 dealers in Texas, and their contributions will be invaluable as we move toward another record sales year in 2007."

The all new Suzuki SX4 Sport shares the design cues found on the SX4 Crossover. The vehicle features excellent driving dynamics, handling capabilities, and a host of standard features inside and out representing Suzuki's "Way of Life" brand philosophy. According to Suzuki, the SX4 Sport targets younger male buyers and represents a core model that is distinctive from other competitors in the segment like the Volvo C30 equipped with Volvo ignition coils.

This power unit offers a fuel economy rating of 23 mpg/city and 31 mpg/highway (EPA rated). A choice of either five-speed manual transmission or a specially tuned four-speed automatic transmission completes the powertrain package for this model.

The Suzuki SX4 Sport will roll out in dealerships with two available packages: Convenience and Touring. The SX4 Sport Convenience carries a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $15,270, while the SX4 Sport Touring is price at $16,270.

Meanwhile, industry experts point out that the current slowdown in the segment of budget-housing is a partial one and the overall mood of real estate sector in Bangalore will be upbeat in the coming months. Karnataka's new industrial policy has already created a conducive environment for investment in the state and the government has targeted 20% industrial growth in the next five years. Bangalore Real Estate sector is poised to grow on the back of this industrial growth. Open-enrolment programs tend to have more motivated 'lifelong' learners than do in-house programs. Yet, program designers can enhance the motivation levels of any leaders and improve the success rate of the program.

At a rational level you can engage the leaders in articulating 'what is in it for them' - the benefits of attending the program and of adopting some new behaviours. This can be done at a general level before the program (eg through interviewing participants) as well as at a behaviour specific level during the program itself.

I recommend engaging participants in identifying rational benefits of the program and specific new behaviours, however a different form motivation has proven to be between 3-6 times more powerful . Emotional motivation involves deliberately invoking emotions that motivate a person to learn.

Let us start with the cynical, slightly pessimistic mood that reluctant learners are already in. This mood has been shown to facilitate learning through enhancing critical thought. You could use this state, perhaps during a pre-program interview to engage the leader in identifying factors that will make the program a waste of time. Quite often they will draw on previous experience - 'the last event didn't help me so I don't see how this one will'. Use these openings to engage them in critiquing past events. What factors led them to be a waste of time? Which of these factors are within the leaders own control?

Starting this way serves several purposes. Leaders are engaged in learning straight away, specifically about what not to do in their approach to this new program. Leaders are also surprised by your empathy. Surprise motivates people to pay attention because things are not the way they seem. You now have their eyes and ears, it is time to pitch your messages about the value of the program and engage them in the rational 'what's in it for them' exercise.

During the program sessions themselves you want them open to new ideas with an optimistic view of what is possible for them in the future. This requires you to spark two emotions in them:
1. Joy
2. Interest

Mirror neurons in our brain mean that you can trigger emotions in others, whether they want you to or not. Have happy music playing when they arrive. Be enthusiastic yourself and remember to smile and express your happiness. Start off with a joke and get people amused at the outset. Then most importantly make the program activities practical, relevant and interesting.

After the program you will want participating leaders to adopt some new behaviours and let go of some old ones. Providing challenge through letting people know right at the outset that they will be held to account for changes in behaviour provides motivation to initiate such change. Combined before and after 360 degree assessments such as the Australian Leadership Development Centre's Development Impact tool can be used for this purpose. The power of linking 'expressed acceptance' to a leaders demonstrated success with applying new behaviours cannot be overstated. Positive reinforcement works and the role of each leaders supervisors is critical in this regard. Initial reinforcement should be frequent with the duration between reinforcement increasing over time. It has also shown to be beneficial to have leaders put up a display of their successes during an evaluation day 6-12 months after the initial program.

HYIP Risks

HYIP Investment involves a great deal of risk. Absolutely no HYIP can guarantee any profits and if it does, don’t believe it, the program is most certanly a scam. Investing in HYIPs you risk to lose your money every day - when a program closes it happens suddenly, at the moment when most investors don’t expect it (though experienced HYIP traders usually know when they should take the money out the program, before it closes).

If you’ve decided to invest in HYIPs, you should be ready for that kind of risk, but the risk here well worth the prize. You cannot expect to make any substantial return if you are not prepared to accept a certain amount of risk. Your gain is usually proportional to the risk - you can either earn very high daily interest with enormous amount of risk, or make the same interest but every month with a considerable risk level.

A quick digression for those of you who aren't familiar with alpha and beta. In traditional finance, return not correlated with a broad market index, such as the S& P 500, is referred to as alpha.

The return which is correlated to the market is beta. An index fund should have the same return (positive or negative) as the index it mimics. (One of the controversies surrounding some ETFs is their performance has not tracked their underlying index.)

The theory behind Alpha and Index Funds is multi fold: 1. the major indices are a good place for an investor to be, both from a risk and return perspective; 2. you can't outperform the major indices, so don't waste your time; 3. find those investment niches with high alphas to increase your return and reduce the overall risk in your portfolio.

Even if you don't subscribe to this theory, you might find it an interesting exercise to review the alphas -- every investment has one -- of your current holdings. They will tell you something about the correlation and diversification of your portfolio.

Where to focus your alpha energy? Investments in real estate, commodities, and energy are less correlated with the stock market (although I've never thought commodities were suitable for individual investors).

The Wall Street pros also recommend stock fund mangers who have unique strategies and can demonstrate a high alpha relative to the market (and, of course, positive relative performance).

Ask your investment adviser for suggestions. The alphas for individual mutual funds (and individual stocks) are available from some brokers and online premium services.

Alpha and index fund investing makes a great deal of sense. You know what to expect in terms of risk and return when you invest in an index fund.

More novice traders try forex scalping than any other method and there is a huge industry on the net, which sells courses and forex day trading systems, to help them achieve their dreams.

Unfortunately, that’s all they are dreams - because Forex scalping simply has never worked and cannot work.

It simply guarantees you will get wiped out.

Why?

Its obvious and common sense. Millions of traders each day, trade trillions of dollars and to say that you can work out what this huge mass of traders will do in just a few hours, is laughable.

ALL Short term price moves are random.

Volatility can and does take prices anywhere in daily time frames and support and resistance levels are not valid - you can’t get the odds on your side and you will lose.

So Why Do So Many People Do it?

Well it’s a good story and the majority of forex scalping systems are sold with one aim in mind:

To make money the vendor is much to sensible to trade it himself – he makes his money appealing to greed and selling it to a naive buyer, who then losses.

The vendor pockets the profit and the buyer gets a hard lesson in the market he wont forget.

But I Have seen track records that make money!

Sure, you have – but check the disclaimer and you will see the words - "hypothetical" and "simulated".

Now this means that the track record was done in hindsight and simulated - KNOWING the closing prices!

How hard is that? A child, or anyone who can read and write can do that!

The problem with forex scalping comes when you have to trade it not knowing the closing prices, then the reality hits – a swift wipe-out of equity.

If you really want to prove this for yourself ask a vendor this simple question:

Can I please see YOUR track record of real time profits over 2 years or more?

Go ahead and try it and see what they say.

You won’t get one, or if you do, let me know - I have been asking this question for 25 years and never got one.

Forex day trading is a good story like little Harry Potter, the one the thing they have in common is their both made up.

So if you want to win and make money at forex trading, forget forex day trading and forex scalping and get the odds on your side.

This means, trading valid data and getting the odds on your side.

Try forex swing trading or long term trend following – both can work and you will be trading with the odds.

If you want to win at forex trading, then you need to do your homework and at least try methods that trade the odds, with forex scalping you could flip a coin and have as much chance of success.

Finally, maybe I am being a bit hard on scalpers and day traders if you find the elusive track record that makes money longer term, send it to me wonder what the odds are of that not happening?

Incorporating Price Action into a Forex Trading System

Trading the Forex market has become very popular in the last few years. But how difficult is it to achieve success in the Forex trading arena? Or let me rephrase this question, how many traders achieve consistent profitable results trading the Forex market? Unfortunately very few, only 5% of traders achieve this goal. One of the main reasons of this is because Forex traders focus in the wrong information to make their trading decisions and totally forget about the most important factor: Price behavior.

Most Forex trading systems are made off technical indicators (a moving average (MA) crossover, overbought/oversold conditions in an oscillator, etc.) But what are technical indicators? They are just a series of data points plotted in a chart; these points are derived from a mathematical formula applied to the price of any given currency pair. In other words, it is a chart of price plotted in a different way that helps us see other aspects of price.

There is an important implication on this definition of technical indicators. The fact that the readings obtained from them are based on price action. Take for instance a long MA crossover signal, the price has gone up enough to make the short period MA crossover the long period MA generating a long signal. Most traders see it as “the MA crossover made the price go up,” but it happened the other way around, the MA crossover signal occurred because the price went up. Where I'm trying to get here is that at the end, price behavior dictates how an indicator will act, and this should be taken into consideration on any trading decision made.

Trading decisions based on technical indicators without taking price action into consideration will give us less accurate results. For example, again a long signal generated by a MA crossover as the market approaches an important resistance level. If the price suddenly starts to bounce back off that important level there is no point on taking this signal, price action is telling us the market doesn't want to go up. Most of the time, under this circumstances, the market will continue to fall down, disregarding the MA crossover.

Don't get us wrong here, technical indicators are a very important aspect of trading. They help us see certain conditions that are otherwise difficult to see by watching pure price action. But when it comes to pull the trigger, price action incorporation into our Forex trading system will definitely put the odds in our favor, it will generate higher probability trades.

So, how to create a perfect Forex trading system?

First of all, you need to make sure your trading system fits your trading personality; otherwise you will find it hard to follow it. Every trader has different needs and goals, thus there is no system that perfectly fits all traders. You need to make your own research on various trading styles and technical indicators until you find a concept that perfectly works for you. Make sure you know the nature of whatever technical indicator used.

Secondly, incorporate price action into your system. So you only take long signals if the price behavior tells you the market wants to go up, and short signals if the market gives you indication that it will go down.

Third, and most importantly, you need to have the discipline to follow your Forex trading system rigorously. Try it first on a demo account, then move on to a small account and finally when feeling comfortably and being consistent profitable apply your system in a regular account.

How to take loss

There are quite a few books written on how to make money in the market. Some of them are even written by people who have made money as traders! What you don't see often, however, are books or articles written on how to lose money. “Cut your losers and let your winners run” is commonsensical advice, but how do you determine when a position is a loser? Interestingly, most traders I have seen don't formulate an answer to this question when they put on a position. They focus on the entry, but then don't have a clear sense of exit—especially if that exit is going to put them into the red.

One of the real culprits, I have to believe, is in the difficulty traders have in separating the reality of a losing trade from the psychological sense of feeling like a loser. At some level, many traders equate losing with being a loser. This frustrates them, depresses them, makes them anxious—in short, it interferes with their future decision-making, because their P & L is a blank check written against their self-esteem. Once a trader is self-focused and not market focused, distortions in decision-making are inevitable.

A particularly valuable section of the classic book Reminiscences of a Stock Operator describes Livermore 's approach to buying stock. He would sell a quantity and see how the stock responded. Then he would do that again and again, testing the underlying demand for the issue. When his sales could not push the market down, then he would move aggressively to the buy side and make his money.

What I loved about this methodology is that Livermore's losses were part of a grander plan. He wasn't just losing money; he was paying for information. If my maximum position size is ten contracts in the ES and I buy the highs of a range with a one-lot, expecting a breakout, I am testing the waters. While I am not potentially moving the market in the way that Livermore might have, I still have begun a test of my breakout hypothesis. I then watch carefully. How are the other averages behaving at the top ends of their range? How is the market absorbing the activity of sellers? Like any good scientist, I am gathering data to determine whether or not my hypothesis is supported.

Suppose the breakout does not materialize and the initial move above the range falls back into the range on some increased selling pressure. I take the loss on my one-lot, but then what happens from there?

The unsuccessful trader will respond with frustration: “Why do I always get caught buying the highs? I can't believe “they” ran the market against me! This market is impossible to trade.” Because of that frustration—and the associated self-focus—the unsuccessful trader does not take any information away from that trade.

In the Livermore mode, however, the successful trader will see the losing one-lot as part of a greater plan. Had the market broken nicely to the upside, he would have scaled into the long trade and likely made money. If the one-lot was a loser, he paid for the information that this is, at the very least, a range-bound market, and he might try to find a spot to reverse and go short in order to capitalize on a return to the bottom end of that range.

Look at it this way: If you put on a high probability trade and the trade fails to make you money, you have just paid for an important piece of information: The market is not behaving as it normally, historically does. If a robust piece of economic news that normally sends the dollar screaming higher fails to budge the currency and thwarts your purchase, you have just acquired a useful bit of information: There is an underlying lack of demand for dollars. That information might hold far more profit potential than the money lost in the initial trade.

I recently received a copy of an article from Futures Magazine on the retired trader Everett Klipp, who was dubbed the “Babe Ruth of the CBOT”. Klipp distinguished himself not only by his fifty-year track record of trading success on the floor, but also by his mentorship of over 100 traders. Speaking of his system of short-term trading, Klipp observed, “You have to love to lose money and hate to make money to be successful…It's against human nature what I teach and practice. You have to overcome your humanness.”

Klipp's system was quick to take profits (hence the idea of hating to make money), but even quicker to take losses (loving to lose money). Instead of viewing losses as a threat, Klipp treated them as an essential part of trading. Taking a small loss reinforces a trader's sense of discipline and control, he believed. Losses are not failures.

So here's a question I propose to all those who enter a high-probability trade: “What will tell me that my trade is wrong, and how could I use that information to subsequently profit?” If you're trading well, there are no losing trades: only trades that make money and trades that give you the information to make money later.

I heard an outcry of excitement. Drawn by the commotion behind me, I also approached the crowd. What I saw truly captivated me.

Resting on the cafeteria table, Clement's laptop looked as good as new. Let me correct myself. It looked better than new.
